Due to unprecedented spread of e-mail based computer viruses this year, we would like to share with our subscribers few tips about safe use of our site.

Please remember, we send our e-mail announcements only when new issue is published. You will not receive more than about twelve e-mails a year from us.

Unfortunately, there is an easy way for Spam and/or hackers to disguise the origin of an e-mail.
Few of our subscribers informed us that their PCs were infected with computer viruses from e-mail that looked as if it was send by us.

This will remain a menace for some time because there is no industry standards how to deal with this problem yet. Most of the problems are related to Microsoft products such MS Windows, MS Outlook but also many other popular programs.

Apple or computers using Linux OS are almost not affected by this problem yet. At least not on the scale of most Windows based PCs.

There are few steps that you can take to insure safe use of the Internet.

Please remember:

1) Our e-mail announcements are composed of few words from the editor. And the subject of e-mail will mention current date and The Intuitive-Connections Network.

We NEVER include any attachments as ZIP files or any other type.
If an e-mail look as if it comes from us, and yet, it contains any attachment. It is NOT from us.
Never download it, or click on the link in suspicions e-mail. Simply go to our site first.

2) We strongly recommend that your antivirus software is regularly updated and enabled.
In addition, we recommend that you use so called "Firewall" software that monitors connection of your PC to the Internet. This also needs to be configured, updated regularly and enabled.

3) As a last resort, please use your gut feeling. :o)
