This companion angel was with us as far back as when we decided to come into life as the person we are today. Most people primarily think of their guardian angel as a protector. This does not mean, however, that we can go through our life journey with no bumps in the road. There are certain things we are meant to experience in order to learn the lessons those experiences teach us.

Entangled Minds: Extrasensory Experiences in a Quantum Reality

By Dean Radin

Book Summary by Denise L. Dahl

The word "entanglement" was coined by one of the founders of quantum theory Erwin Schrodinger. It refers to the connections between separated particles that remain connected regardless of distance. These connections are instantaneous and operate outside the usual flow of time. This implies that seeing things as separate objects is in a sense an illusion created by our limited perception. Bioentanglement has to do with quantum connections with and among living systems. In fact, entanglement may extend to everything in the universe.

Developing the Psychic Profession

Commentary by Henry Reed

The Intuitive Career: How to Succeed as a Consultant, Reader, or Healer

Were the Atlanteans Neanderthals? Atlantis and the Kingdom of the Neanderthals: 10,000 Years of Lost History

A Commentary by Noble Augusta On:

I would never have connected Neanderthal cave men with stories about the technologically advanced civilization of Atlantis. By the time I had begun the third chapter, I was out of my seat, reaching for my handy desk-top globe and world atlas. To anyone else who reads this book, I might suggest they get their own globe out, too.

Your Immortal Reality

By Gary Renard

Book Review by Sidney Goodwin

Atlantic University

Your Immortal Reality much like The Disappearance of the Universe attempts to explain A Course in Miracles from the "good old common man" approach. Gary says that he is just a common guy, not all that bright, who just happen to have his future self, who wrote the Gospel of Thomas in a previous life, and a partner appear as physical forms in his living room and give him sage advice on spiritual principles to living in everyday life. Their banter adds color and some humor to the exchange that presses the message of A Course in Miracles that forgiveness is the key to awaken us from the dream of this world.

The Emotional Heart: The heart as an organ of perception and communication

By Stephen Harrod Buhner

A chapter excerpted from his book:

The Secret Teachings of Plants: The Intelligence of the Heart in the Direct Perception of Nature

The tendency for heart cells to entrain with one another, merely because of the proximity of their electromagnetic fields, extends to any electromagnetic field that comes into contact with them. Just as the electromagnetic fields of two heart cells cause them to begin beating or oscillating in unison, when the electromagnetic fields of two hearts come together, they also begin to oscillate or entrain to each other. But this phenomenon extends even further.

Plants and Their Spiritual Nature

An excerpt from

Aromatherapy for the Soul: Healing the Spirit wth Fragrance and Essential Oils

By Valerie Ann Worwood

Having a conversation with a tree might seem like a strange thing to do, especially when you live in a large city, a long way away from trees. But when actually out among them, it seems like the most natural thing in the world to do. I can fully understand why traditional Native Americans, when planning to cut down a tree to make a totem pole or boat, asked permission and gave thanks directly to the tree making the sacrifice.

An excerpt from

The Mandala of Being: Discovering the Power of Awareness

Any story you tell yourself about who you are, any belief you have, any feeling you are aware of, is only an object of your larger consciousness. You, in your essence, are always something that experiences all these and remains more complete than any of them. When you realize that you are inherently larger than any feeling that enters your awareness, this very awareness will change the feeling, and it will release its grip on you.

Instead, we clutch our Bibles to our bosoms and with varying degrees of emotional fervor, proclaiming ourselves "a religious nation."

Breatkthrough!

By Alan Watts

An excerpt from his autobiography:

In My Own Way

The power of something so apparently simple-and so seemingly absurd-as mantra- and om-chanting is that it fosters a relaxed concentration on pure sound, as distinct from words, ideas, and abstractions, and thus brings attention to bear on reality itself.

Far Journeys

Ronald Russell

An excerpt from:

The Journey of Robert Monroe: From Out of Body Explorere to Consciousness Pioneer

The question of proof no longer concerned him and he had lost interest in taking part in controlled tests. Also, he found it had become very easy for him to move into the out-of-body state. Refreshed after three or four hours of sleep, he was ready to slip out, as it were, but what was there to do? Everyone else was asleep and he saw no point in purposelessly drifting around.

An excerpt from:

Radical Knowing: Understanding Consciousness through Relationship

Yet so many of us spend a lot of our precious time and money trying to find relationships, or the perfect one. But after some reflection and clear thinking we come to recognize a basic, simple fact: We are always in relationship ... of some kind. It's part of the welcome package we get on arrival into this world. Every one of us—no exceptions—gets the basic package: a body, a mind, and relationships.

Renaissance II: Rebirth in the New Clear Age

By Donn O'Connor

A summary by the author

Edgar Cayce, a dedicated Christian, was somewhat dismayed to learn that he had, while in a self-induced trance state, made a statement referring to reincarnation, since he had considered the concept to be "the work of the Devil." Such would be a normal reaction, since it is not commonly known that Christianity's theological foundation, rather than having been based on sacred Hebrew documents and the oral teachings of Jesus, was established principally on the philosophy of Plato, and reincarnation represented the very foundation of Plato's teaching.

Mary squirmed in her chair as she continued, “I just don’t know what is wrong with me. Why can’t I just do it? I feel stressed all the time when I’m not writing. ‘I should be writing’, I say to myself, but I don’t. I practiced minireadings on friends and did healings on family members when they got sick. But I didn't feel ready to "go pro" with my gifts.

What Is the Occult? (And What Is It Doing In America?) An excerpt from Occult America: The Secret History of How Mysticism Shaped our Nation, by Mitch Horowitz

News drifted back to the Old World: A land existed where mystical thinkers and mystery religions, remnants of esoteric movements that had thrived during the Renaissance and were later harassed, could find safe harbor. And so began a revolution in religious life that was eventually felt around the earth. America hosted a remarkable assortment of breakaway faiths, from Mormonism to Seventh-Day Adventism to Christian Science. But one movement that grew within its borders came to wield radical influence over nineteenth and twentieth-century spirituality. It encompassed a wide array of mystical philosophies and mythical lore, particularly the belief in an "unseen world" whose forces act upon us and through us. It is called the occult.

Our daily incessant busyness--too much to do and not enough time; the pressure to produce and tick off items on our to-do list by each day's end--seems to decide the direction and quality of our existence for us. Appreciationg Yourself, by Robert Mack

An Excerpt from Happiness from the Inside Out

The root of much unhappiness is comparison. Comparison gets in the way of healthy self-appreciation and thus happiness more than anything else. Because of comparison, hardly anybody is ever happy with what they get and nothings ever good enough for practically everybody. Thats because we measure our success in anything by comparing it to what others have or to what we have had before

Another Little Peace of the Heart. An Excerpt from The Compassionate Life, By Marc Barasch.

I've wondered from time to time what happened in this primitive, instinctual tit for tat, a variant of any playground fight. Some kid pinches you, and you pinch them back: There, now you know how it feels! The word revenge doesn't quite cover it; in an odd way, it's more like enforced empathy, a need to make the other feel, first-hand and in rough proportion, the suffering they caused us.

Where Hides the Spirituality of Men? By Henry Reed

It used to be, when I felt like crying, I'd get angry instead. During the discussion of the aftermath of the devastation I had created by my anger, I would learn that I had actually been sad, lonely, or hurt, and wished I had realized that earlier. It took me many years to recognize the anger signal, to look within, and to discover my tears.

The Magician's Way: What It Really Takes to Find Your Treasure, by William Whitecloud

The Spiritual Anatomy of Emotion, by Michael A. Jawer (An Excerpt)

"I feel, therefore I am." If this formulation is correct, it can be rephrased "I feel, therefore I am a self." In seeking the origins of selfhood, then, we ought to begin with the sensory foundations of feeling.

A play deficit is like a sleep deficit. And, there is the same need to catch up or experience "rebound" play as there is for sleep.

The Universe, Reincarnation, and the Transformation of Humanity: An Interview With Christopher Bache, Edited by Stephan Martin

Imagine a spool of kite string that you're winding round and round. The soul-process of collecting and accumulating experience takes place over hundreds of thousands of years of evolution and reincarnation, and what's being wound around the spool toward the end is some of the most precious stuff in the universe -- human experience. It's very different, for example, than tree experience. As the soul winds more and more experience round itself, the system starts to glow until eventually it ignites. I think that's what the universe has been doing with us for millions of years, spinning us up on the inside, and now we're coming to critical mass.

Harry Houdini: The Ultimate Escape, by John Chambers

The escape artist's world-famous stunts, such as escaping from a box that had been nailed shut and dropped into the Hudson River in midwinter with Houdini manacled inside, were achieved through a skillful combination of mental acuteness, discipline, and brawn. Yet another side of Houdini was on display when, in the decade before his death, he made separate post-life pacts with more than twenty friends, providing each with a unique code by which that friend would be able to tell if Houdini were attempting to communicate with him after the escape artist's death.

What Is Consciousness? By Richard Smoley

We've been hearing a lot about consciousness these days. Scientists are trying to take it apart; magazines are reporting on it; theorists of all kinds are trying to figure out how it arises out of the brain. Unfortunately, you could read quite a bit about this subject without going away any wiser.

The Widsom to Know the Difference: When to Make a Change and When to Let Go, by Eileen Flanagan

The wisdom to know the difference between what we can and cannot change is central to my definition of a well-lived life. When we accept our circumstances, we spare ourselves frustration and anxiety, though we suffer needlessly when we put up with what we shouldn't. Too often, however, we get the equation backward.

The Secret Life of God: A Novel, by Ray Cullis

"We have no secrets!" I shouted. "God knows all our secrets! God sees everything!" I glanced  down from the pulpit at the right front pew where my wife, Christina, had sat during my sermons until that fateful Sunday two weeks ago. "And so, my fellow worshippers, next Sunday I will preach about...the secret life of God!"

What is God? By Jacob Needleman. An Excerpt: And What of God?

Every relatively normal man, woman or child has genuine experiences of the inner world of the Self. But in a culture such as our own, these experiences are not recognized as what in fact they are: namely, "messages" from the Self indicating what a human being is meant to be and what he or she can become.

The Resonance Key: Exploring the Links Between Vibration, Consciousness, and the Zero Point Grid.

By Marie Jones and Larry Flaxman. An Excerpt: "What's the Frequency?"

Remember those cheesy coin-operated vibrating beds that were all the rage in nearly every motel back in the 1970s? How about alphanumeric pagers that would vibrate when someone paged you? Has some heartless idiot ever driven through your neighborhood in the middle of the night "bumping" the latest rap hit? It seems like everything vibrates.

The Science of Happiness, by Ryuho Okawa. An Excerpt: The Principle of Happiness

The first principle of happiness is love. This love is not the kind of love that you expect to receive from others. The love that I teach at Happy Science is love that gives.3 The true nature of love that gives is based on awakening to the fact that all human beings are children of God and originate in him, and that you are essentially one with others.

Emotional Wisdom, by By Mantak Chia and Dena Saxer: An Excerpt

Why do we have emotions in the first place? Many of us experience them as a disturbance, something out of our control. But they're not simply a thorn in our side. They are natural energy responses to what we experience throughour senses. They're vital messages from our Soul, our higher self, to our personality or body.

There should be no fear of death, for the death of the body is but a gentle passing to a much freer life. Much of what we thought praiseworthy on earth is mediocre to us in the Light of wider knowledge, and conversely much for which we blamed ourselves and were blamed by others, is viewed here from a wider angle and even becomes merit!
